Soccer Camp

My 7 year old daughter E and 5 year old son C have been going to play soccer since they were little. They loved to from the start and have been consistently going to different camps and leaves. Although E doesn’t play as much soccer as she used to, she still looks forward to playing and the summer presented itself with a week of awesomeness (parental relief).

It was a soccer camp that lasted most of the day. The kids were really excited to go since C had some friends from school that were going as well. They were all looking forward to a really fun session. After the first day, they came back tired, exhausted, and they couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had.

The next few days were more of the same thing. They always came back, super tired and had tons of fun. The people that ran the camp set up a World Cup style tournament, where groups of kids got to pick a country to represent and they played against each other. I guess they played many tournaments because E and C came back and said they won twice! I was really impressed and they actually beat some pretty good kids.

What was even crazier was that C had soccer practice for multiple days during the week as well. So he literally played soccer all day. The kid was falling asleep so fast at night and he didn’t want to go for those early morning soccer sessions any more. He was full from his huge servings of soccer!

At the end of the week, my kids kept talking about how much fun they had. Even though they wouldn’t have the same type of soccer camp for the rest of the summer, they still wanted figure out how to go again soon. I’m just glad they had so much fun since I didn’t know how things would turn out. I think most of the fun was from winning the World Cup twice and they would come home and scheme more plays to practice. I can’t blame them…I would have had a lot of fun winning too!
