Hiding a Car

At night, I love playing with my 1 year old son L. It reminds me of the time my 5 year old son C was that little. We used to spend time in the playroom at night just playing while my wife was putting our daughter E to bed (now she is 6!). I’m glad I have a chance to relive those memories with C and actually getting some quality time with L.

L loves cars and we play with them a lot. I did see something where boys tend to just pretend to drive the car and there isn’t much depth to the playing, so I try to make the cars talk and act like people. Then I decided to play a game where I would shake a car in my hand and hide it in one hand while making two fists. I wanted L to guess where the car was and he would tap a hand, I would turn over my fist and reveal what was inside. He would laugh when there wasn’t a car and when he found the car, he snatched it up, and then put it back in my hand to repeat the game.

When he didn’t know where the car was, he would say he didn’t know. It was cute that he tries to talk. He understands so much, but his language skills haven’t caught up yet. It’s only a matter of time and I’m just going to enjoy his cute little voice exactly how it is because it really does pass my quickly. I would know because my older babies are now 5 and 6!
