Dream Big

One day a few weeks ago, I was in the playroom with my 6 year old daughter E.. She was just playing off on her own and a thought popped into my head. There was this rhyme that I couldn’t quite figure out where it came from, so I thought I should ask her since I was sure it came from a kids book or movie.

I asked E if she knew where the saying “dream small or not at all” came from. It was stuck with me for a few days at that point and she immediately said it was from Cruz Ramirez in Cars 3. Cruz’s parents told her that and it actually held her back for the rest of her life until…I won’t spoil the movie for anyone even though it’s an old movie at this point! Anyways, I’m glad E helped me solve this thought that was stuck in my head for a while and was also surprised she immediately knew.

E then told me to “dream big you silly pig!” I started laughing and asked her where she got that from because it was genius. She told me that was something I said a long time ago after watching Cars 3 with her! Well I guess I am the genius and a witty one as well! Not a bad saying and something that I should keep reminding myself!
