Cough Drop Medicine

With 3 kids, someone is usually sick. That’s the unfortunate thing when the weather is colder and the young kiddos don’t know how to keep their hands out of their faces. I usually am fine, but recently hit a string of colds and bad luck.

During this bad streak, I resorted to cough drops at night. It’s hard not to cough without them and since I have to talk all day at work, it makes me want to cough all the time by the end of the day. This was not like that when I didn’t have to talk all day at the same point last year. I could just carry a thermos of hot tea and sip on it whenever I felt like coughing to suppress the cough. It was great and my coughs do not last long. This time around through, the coughs were here to stay and I was struggling.

I grabbed a handful of cough drops and have it near my nightstand. My 1 year old son L was running around after showering and decided to grab them too that evening. I told him to put it down and said no no to him. He wagged his finger and said no no Daddy medicine. He knew it was medicine for me and my cough! I guess when I have it around all the time and explain it to him, he understood and could finally say it back! Shows how long I have been coughing for L to learn that!
