Squish Bags
My 7 year old daughter E loves doing art. That still hasn’t changed. What has changed is how she goes about it. Thinking of a project and using things creatively is her new thing.
E was in the playroom one day and decided to find random things around the house to use. She was in there for a while and came out with “gifts” for everyone. She was so excited to hand everyone their specific gift and I had questions about what exactly it was.
There was a lot of tape around a bit of paper and some stuffing from probably a stuffy that has seen better days. E took all of it and made squish bags. She wanted everyone to have it with them in case they got stressed and wanted something to squish.
It’s great that E was using random things around the house for her project and came up with something thoughtful. I like the creativity from her and her willingness to do something nice for others. What she couldn’t predict was how everyone would actually use it, which I have thrown those squish bags on the ground when angry instead of squishing them. At least they are useful to everyone in their own way!
