Saying Happy Birthday

My 6 year old daughter E was turning 7 soon, so we usually do a small family celebration before something bigger. We fill up a huge ballon corresponding to their age so they can hold it to take some pictures (which my 1 year old son L has been terrified of since he was born!) and then have some cake. Very routine and standard at this point.

E got to open some presents and she got something she has wanted for a long time - an Espeon. She also somehow got an Umbreon and a Leafeon. These are all Eevee evolutions in Pokemon and she is collecting more and more of them. She gives Leafeon to her 5 year old brother C and Umbreon went to L. They played for a while and E opened some more of her gifts. She got some clothes she was excited about and some books as well. She was happy.

At the end of the night, I had to grab L to go do his nighttime routine. Since we had been saying and singing happy birthday, he ended up saying happy birthday E in his own baby voice. It was so cute and moments like these make all the chaos worth it.
